Le Flore, OK (KHBS/KHOG) — Two Oklahoma men are accused of maiming and desecrating a human member, among other charges, according to official law enforcement documents, after performing surgery on a man’s genitals.
Husbands Bobby Lee Allen, 53, and Thomas Evans Gates, 42, were arrested and booked into the Le Flore County Detention Center.
Allen and Gates performed surgery on another man’s genitals at their home near Wister last week, Sheriff Rodney Derryberry told 40/29 News. The two do not have any type of medical license or certification.
After the surgery, they dropped the man off at a hospital in McAllister.
When law enforcement got a tip, deputies searched the property where the two have been living off and on for two years.
Allen and Gates appear to have been running a membership website that users could log into, Derryberry said. Investigators have started going through digital files and storage devices at the couple’s home.
The sheriff wouldn’t elaborate on the nature of the website.
Their charges are listed as:
Medical Battery
Maiming, Aggravated
Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon Resulting in Great Bodily Injury
Conspiracy
Desecration of a Human Member
Outraging Public Decency with Gross Injury
Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance/Paraphernalia
