(CNN Español) — La Junta de Portavoces del Congreso de Perú acordó este jueves someter a debate la admisión de la moción de vacancia presentada contra el presidente Martín Vizcarra, según confirmó a CNN una fuente con conocimiento de la discusión de ese grupo coordinador de la agenda parlamentaria.

De acuerdo con el reglamento del Congreso, los legisladores ahora deberán debatir la apertura de la moción de vacancia en la próxima sesión del parlamento, que está programada para el 4 de noviembre.

Por el momento, la agenda de los legisladores para esa fecha aún no se ha publicado.

El pasado martes, 27 de los 130 congresistas presentaron una nueva moción de vacancia contra el presidente. Es la segunda vez que congresistas lo hacen señalando supuesta incapacidad inmoral del mandatario, de lo cual él se ha defendido.

Vizcarra se refirió este miércoles al tema. “Yo estimo que al igual que hace un mes va a primar la cordura en los congresistas en los partidos políticos que respaldan y fortalecen la democracia cuando traten este pedido de vacancia”, dijo el mandatario.
