Illinois State University is continuing to look for ways to expand coronavirus testing for the campus community. Students living in the residence halls are going to be required to get tested regularly this semester. ISU also switched to using antigen tests that give faster results. 

McLean County health officials are reporting 180 new COVID-19 cases since Friday, Jan. 15. The total of probable and confirmed cases is 13,155. 

Currently, 730 individuals are in home isolation and 21 are hospitalized. There are 12,270 individuals who have recovered. McLean has had 134 COVID-related deaths. 

Local hospitals are reporting 50% of ICU beds in use and 69% of total beds in use. 

More than 198,200 tests have resulted in a cumulative positivity rate of 6.6%. The rolling seven-day positivity rate is 6.5% through Jan. 18.
