Sit back and relax with Illinois State University’s University Program Board as they acknowledge the importance of self-care and tranquility throughout next week, leading up to a special virtual event on Friday.
During a time of uncertainty and stress, with thousands of students maneuvering their way through an online semester while also trying to balance jobs and relationships through a global pandemic, one’s mental health tends to fall away from the forefront. With their week of self-care, UPB hopes to help students reprioritize their well-being and give ways for students to feel more in control of their anxieties.
From 7-8 p.m. on Friday, UPB will be hosting a virtual yoga session to get participants active and help them “stretch out the stress”, along with providing appearances from special guests TikTok influencers Ian Paget and Chris Olsen.
In addition to the main event, self-care kits will also be offered in the UPB office located on the second floor of the Bone Student Center and can be picked up any time during the week from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The kits are not able to be picked up on Tuesday due to the university’s closure because of the winter weather.
UPB will also be giving away various prizes focused on this overarching theme of “self-care” on their various social media platforms on throughout the week.
Those wanting to participate can follow ISU UPB on social media to keep up with the giveaways.
