The word God means a lot of things to many groups and cultures; it has been used for millenniums in many texts in almost every meaning not just religions.
To put “In God We Trust” on anything covers all denominations, sect or anyone, no matter what or who they believe in.
In multiple years of war, I have heard many many soldiers cry out “Oh God, help me” when they were wounded and did not want to die.
It didn’t matter about skin color or religion, they were praying to their God.
As usual, we have to have someone like state Rep. Regina Goodwin challenge that it does not say “In Buddha We Trust.”
This just goes to show how narrow-minded she is.
