Children’s Discovery Museum To Host Event Exploring Contemporary Art

The Children's Discovery Museum will host "Art Around You: Exploring Contemporary Art in the Community" from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, March 13.

The Children’s Discovery Museum is holding an in-person event called “Art Around You: Exploring Contemporary Art in the Community.

The event is from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, March 13.

Children ages 7 to 10 are invited to experience the work of Alice Hargrave, a photo-based artist from Chicago.

The event will consist of a live virtual tour of University Galleries. Afterwards, guests will be invited to create their own work inspired by the art featured in the tour.

The event is free with preregistration.

Children are required to wear face coverings, and every participant will have their own table and their own supplies as to take precautions involving the Coronavirus.
