MindDoc is a smartphone application allowing users to track their emotional well-being. The app was developed by clinical psychologists and can be downloaded on the app store as well as on google play for free.
In addition to general mental health, the app will automatically locate areas in a user’s life that may need extra attention. It checks on users three times a day: once in the morning, one in the afternoon, and once in the evening. Users are prompted with a few simple “yes” or “no” questions, such as “Have you felt a sense of achievement lately?” or “Are you feeling okay physically today?”
Upon initial download, users are prompted with questions each day for two weeks for the purpose of notifying them of whether they must seek further medical attention for their mental health.
A crisis hotline is also consistently made available to users with quick access.
The questions over time are not random but learned and based on previous answers. MindDoc creates personalized follow-up questions in a recurring manner in order to present the most accurate results to users.
Regular reports updating users about their mental health are sent. Users are notified when new insights are ready, aiding in
their ability to track and improve their emotional stability.
Accessibility to psychological courses, guided meditation-videos, sleep aids, and other resources are also available.
For further resources, users may upgrade to a paid subscription, which is free for seven days, then $47.99 per year. An intelligent mood tracking ability, more personalized insights, access to over 150 psychological exercises and activities, smart statistics of mood over time, and mental health assessments become accessible. However, the app can be beneficially utilized for free to help individuals reflect on their moods and feelings. They can also go back at any point to see how they felt on any given day.
What MindDoc provides overall to users is a sense of tranquility in the mind with regard to general emotional well-being.
Users can better understand what types of situations cause certain emotions within them. With the ability to track emotions throughout a day and throughout time, individuals can better tame the way they feel, understand what goes through their minds, and securely explore their emotions and resources to help them as they need them.
