(CNN Español) — El Real Madrid se alejó este domingo de la cima de la tabla en La Liga, luego de sufrir una sorpresiva goleada por 4 a 1, frente al Valencia, en el Estadio Mestalla.

Lo más peculiar de la derrota merengue fue que el equipo recibió tres goles de penal de Carlos Soler, y uno en contra, por parte del defensa Raphael Varane.

Los dirigidos por Zinedine Zidane se pusieron en ventaja a los 23 minutos, gracias a un golazo de Karim Benzema. Sin embargo, el Valencia dio vuelta el resultado antes de que finalizara la primera etapa: un gol de penal de Soler y el autogol de Varane.

En la segunda parte, el equipo «Che» amplió diferencias con dos penales más anotados por Soler, al minuto 54 y al 63.

Este resultado le impide al Madrid treparse al segundo puesto de La Liga, que de momento tiene como líder solitario a la Real Sociedad. En cambio, el equipo de «Zizou», de momento, se tiene que conformar con el cuarto puesto.

Cabe resaltar que el Real Madrid llegó a este partido con dos grandes bajas: Eden Hazard y Casemiro, ambos con resultados positivos por covid-19.
