The Associated Press analyzed millions of loan records for 409 metro areas and found 61 where people of color continue to be routinely denied conventional mortgage loans at rates far higher than their white counterparts.
The odds of denial ratio refer to how often a minority group is likely to be turned down for a loan in that city. Any city above a certain ratio may be redlining applicants. For example, input a ratio of 1.0 or higher to view a list of all cities where whites are more likely to get loans than people of color. Note that in smaller sample sizes, some ratios will not be statistically meaningful.
