(CNN Español) — Un juez en Bolivia anuló una orden de aprehensión e imputación contra el expresidente Evo Morales por un supuesto delito de terrorismo en el denominado “Caso Audio”.

Román Castro, magistrado primero de instrucción en lo penal de La Paz, concedió esta tutela porque en el análisis de antecedentes vio la vulneración de derechos fundamentales, sobre todo del derecho a la defensa, según informó Jorge Quino, presidente del Tribunal de Justicia de ese departamento.

En una declaración a medios, el fiscal departamental de La Paz, Marco Antonio Cossío, explicó que la notificación mediante edictos quedó sin efecto porque se tendría que haber hecho por cooperación internacional. Quino dijo que al momento de emitirse estos edictos ya se sabía que Morales estaba viviendo en Argentina.

El fallo que otorgó la tutela a favor del expresidente ahora pasa al Tribunal Constitucional Plurinacional, encargado de ratificar la decisión o no.

CNN se comunicó este martes con la defensa de Evo Morales, pero aún no ha obtenido una respuesta.
