Sixteen new cases of COVID-19 have been reported by the McLean County Health Department, bringing the total number of probable and confirmed cases to 14,713.

MCHD is reporting two additional COVID-19-related deaths, bringing the county total of deaths to 175. The two individuals include one male in his 60s and one female in her 80s who were not associated with long-term care. 

There are currently 155 residents isolating at home while 14,360 individuals have been released from isolation and considered recovered from the virus.

Over 254,000 tests have been conducted and resulted making the positivity rate at 5.8%. The seven-day positivity rate is 2.2% through Tuesday. 

McLean County is reporting 23 residents to be hospitalized because of COVID-19. The total number of patients being hospitalized due to COVID-19 at McLean County hospitals is 12.

There are 69% of intensive care unit beds in use. A total of 90% of hospital beds are in use in McLean County hospitals.  

MCHD will be partnering with the Illinois National Guard in assisting with the vaccination clinics. This will allow McLean County to offer the vaccine to more residents and at a faster rate. 

There have been approximately 41,735 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine administered in McLean County.
