* WHAT...Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 31 possible.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast and northern Florida and southeast
Georgia.

* WHEN...From late Thursday night through Friday morning.

* IMPACTS...Appropriate action should be taken to ensure tender
vegetation and outdoor pets have adequate protection from the cold
temperatures. Young children, the elderly and the homeless are
especially vulnerable to the cold. Take measures to protect them.

Winter Storm Warning (Severe)

Jefferson County

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM EST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations 5 to 10 inches
across the higher terrain of the Tug Hill Plateau and western
Adirondack foothills, with 2 to 4 inches in the surrounding lower
elevations. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph will produce areas of
blowing and drifting snow.

* WHERE...The Eastern Lake Ontario Region. The greatest
accumulations will be across the higher terrain of the Tug Hill
Plateau and western Adirondacks.

* WHEN...Until 1 PM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be difficult. The hazardous conditions will
impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Widespread accumulating snow will create dangerous travel conditions.
